In the Spring of 2013, we embarked on a new adventure! We converted two acres of our property into an organic farming operation; a long-held dream. The farm's designer and current caretaker is a young man named Daniel Brown. Dan is a certified permaculture designer and advocate of locally grown food and sustainable agriculture. Our intention is to establish a long term business which provides healthy food to local communities. In our first year, we were able to supply organically grown vegetables to four different farmer's markets. In the future we will include fruits from our own orchard. By saving seeds and continuing to develop farm infrastructure in the coming years, we hope to improve the quality, quantity, and variety of our yield while using appropriate technologies in order to make the farm self-sufficient. We will always work to improve the quality of our soil so that the flavor and nutrition of our produce is second to none.
